I just got stopped for doing 50 in a 35 but talked my way out ot it. Honestly, I had just left a friend's house not a block away, had to accelerate to merge and had no idea I was going as fast as I was.

Seems he was OK with that.

I'd fight it, and point out how hard it is to read the speedometer in you new car.

I was just issued my first speeding ticket in my Baby... 55mph in a 45 mph zone... I didn't even realize that I was speeding until I saw the police officer's lights behind me. With the X's awesome handling, you really can't tell you're going fast. I tried to tell that to the police officer, but he didn't believe me, wrote the ticket anyway. He'd better pray he doesn't bring his kids to see me for a checkup, cause I'll end up giving HIM their immunization shots... Just kidding!
