DSC kicks butt!
I have a Platinum 3.0 w/x1,x2,x3,Manual,Xenon,NAV and premium sterio and live in Utah where the roads get very icy and I have played around with the DSC on and off and here is what I have found:
With DSC off you can get the car to slide sideways a little and lose occasional control, but with the DSC on it is tough to get it to go anywhere other than the direction the steering wheel is pointing! And the combination of DSC and 4WD make it possible to do 0-60 in less than 7 seconds ON AN ICY ROAD! Love the car, wouldn't give back any option I ordered with it.

Good job. Thanks.

I'm jealous of that Navagation feature, I don't think it was available at first, so it wasn't a choice for me.

I did not get the Dynamic Stability Control, either, which I believe is included with the Sport option you listed.

I have Active Handling on my 2000 Corvette, and it's saved my butt a couple of times for sure. The only one-car accidents seem to occur when you disable it. When I test drove the X-Type, without the DSC, I tried to find the limits, but the all-wheel drive would not let me screw it up. So I didn't think it would make much difference on the X.

What's your opinion of the Dynamic Stability control feature? How does it let you know if it activates? Can you turn it off if you wanted to?
