My wife had the same problem driving our 2.5 X-type.
Called the 800 number several times during the wait which was more than 5 hours, sorry to report that help never came from the tow truck they called for us, even though we were promised help over and over again.
We ended up calling the dealer, whom we should have contacted first, and he said to simply drive it into the shop at very reasonable speed. We did that, and it was a simple repair, some chip had to be replaced.
The big deal was the wait, which I half expected Jaguar to call back and apologize for. They didn't.

Dear Friends,

I just had my Jag X-Type 3.0 2 days ago...

I love it a lot...

A few minutes ago, I saw "Gear Box Fault" on the computer.

The Engine light is yellow. The transmision do not work well so I can not use it...

Any ideas ??? Of course I will call the dealer but I would love to know if someone had the same problem...
