I've had the same hiccup occur twice now and thought I'd share the fix.

The indicator lights stop working, as does the headlight flasher and the locks don't automatically switch on when you move off. The lights themselves are ok as your hazard indicator switch still works as do the dipped and main beam.

The fix is to disconnect the battery for 30 seconds, thus forcing the electronics module to hard-reset. You will need to enter your radio key-code afterwards.

The service guy at my jag dealer told me it was a problem they knew about, but as yet didn't know how to fix it permanently. He said it would most likely be an update to the flash memory in the electronics module.

Beyond this minor quirk, I'm very happy ! Its had fewer teething troubles than my previous car (a BMW 3-series coupe).
