I can imagine how painful the wait is for your car, but it will be well worth it. The benefit you will have is your car will be later in the production cycle, so it should have the latest updates. You will probably not experience the number of production glitches some of the earlier X-Types are experiencing. My 3.0 5 speed is a joy to drive. After yours arrives, you will soon forget the waiting period. Good luck and give us a report after you take delivery.

When you put it that way it does sound rather unfair for you guys. I don't know why Jaguar can't make a leaper available for purchase that will conform to safety issues though...

I have yet to receive my car - I ordered it way back in June of 2001 via an online car dealer! I should be getting it within the next 3 weeks from Germany. Even though I live just down the road from Halewood it is very much cheaper to buy it from Europe! Even the dealer told my back then that it would be December when it would be delivered and that there was no discount available whatsoever!!
