Is it possible that the reading is the "ambient" temp rather then the actual external temp? If it's ambient, then the temp will be influenced by engine heat--therefore you will get a slightly warmer temp.


For those of you who live in colder climates (maybe even warm ones) have you had erroneous reading regarding the exterior temperature? I've had instances where the weatherman says its 24 degrees, and my X-type reads 36 degrees. Thanks...
