I travel to Holland a lot. There, the speed of the 3.0 X-types is ostensibly limited to 155 mph (250 kmh), rather than the 130 mph used in the US. Does anyone know if the speed control is accomplished with a computer chip? If so, do you know if the European chips are interchangeable with the US ones?
Thanks.
ACT,
Try switching from KM to Imperial (Miles) and see if there is any difference of top speed. I lived in Europe and had a 90 Town Car that had a limiter on it tied to teh mph setting. When I used the Imperial, I could only go to 80 mph but when I switched to KM I hit over 145 k (~90mph). I did not push it any further than that.
