Sounds like "sour grapes" to me. What other motive could someone have in this regard (that or you're a BMW dealer)? Anyway, I've owned both pre- and post-Ford jags (XJ12L and XJ6). I have to say that it is much nicer to get in your car and have it actually start which was always a question with the pre-Ford jags. Or, take it on a road trip and actually get where you are going. Quality control and quality overall have gone way up since the Ford takover. My X-type has been great so far. I never liked beamers, but that is only my opinion.
