You know it's really unfortunate to see such a post. SpidermOn, what drove you to post this? Why "waste" your precious time reading over everyone's post, when you could be doing something else more "constructive" like reading a BMW or Lexus message board? Does it really matter what is printed on the outside of the vehicle that obviously brings so much joy to a lot of people on this Message Board. I've owned my share of BMWs, Lexus AND Fords and they've managed to make me smile for different reasons. The gratification that I, and most everyone else on this Board, derive from driving the X-type is what ultimately matters. We are all educated individuals otherwise we would not be successful enough to be able to afford any of the cars that we are discussing. I'm sure we all did our homework prior to purchasing any of these vehicles. I, for one, did mine. I read all the previews, road tests, comparisons, press release information, etc... The only thing that really mattered was my own test drive. It wasn't Car and Driver, nor Road and Track that convinced me to buy the X-type. It wasn't the posts on this Board. Even if what you post is true (which we all know is not), that it is a Ford, do you think it really makes a difference? I'm not going to try to pursuade you one way or the other, you are entitled to your own opinion. But as for this JAGUAR X-type proud owner, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. As the commercials say, I look for the long way home, just so I can drive longer. Whatever the car, if it makes you look for the long way home, then it is the right one for you. So, SpiderMon, I hope you find your own "JAGUAR X-Type" so your drive home can be as fun and enjoyable as it is for the rest of us.
