Can anyone give me real world numbers regarding the most number of gallons they have filled their car up with. Here's my situation: Ran out of fuel a while back and was only able to put 12 gallons in tank. Jaguar determined the tank was defective. The tank is a "saddle" design and fuel was not emptying from one side of the tank. I was told by the dealer the one side holds 4 gallons for a total of 16 gallons. Jaguar replaced the tank. Since than, I have again run out of fuel with the new tank. This time it took 14 gallons to fill the tank. Dealer advisor now is telling me this is "normal". In other words. the 16 gallon fuel tank capacity listed in the owners manual is not available for use. I'am wondering if the original tank wasn't replaced with a smaller tank. Any comments. P.S. Promised myself if I ever wrote I would not have completely negative comments or experiences. So.... car brings back the kid in me, no price tag on that feeling. Thanks for the help.
