The Mondeo has won the comparisons in all german car magazines, against Audi A4, VW Passat, BMW 3-class and Mercedes C-Class.

And the X-Type is even better than a Mondeo... :-)

The x type uses a MODIFIED mondeo floorpan. It is modified by 30% to make it stronger. This meant that the x type could be sold for at least £10,000 less. All manufacturers use parts common across the range. Seat uses the Audi tt engine in it,s Cupra in europe for example.
