When I press the button, the dash message screen indicates that DSC is being switched on or off, but the LED above the switch does not illuminate. What is that LED supposed to do? It wasn't clear from the manual...

Chris

As already stated the red light's got nothing to do with DSC. The manual however does state that when you've got a message centre it will display "DSC switched off" (for 4 secinds) and a light remains on to remind you it's switched off. I do not know what light they are refering too as no light remains on anywhere. If you didn't have a message centre the DSC/traction control light would light up to indicate it's off. I've noticed that when you operate DSC it's the oval yellow light in the dashboard (speedo) that indicates it has been used.

You have to rely on your memory to ensure you switch it back on again.

If you have a message centre (SE models), the manual is far from clear ?

Cheers
Stuart
