I agree, your mileage should be a lot better. I have a 3.0 manual and get 22-23 city/highway and on at least 2 occasions got a little over 31mpg on the interstate averaging 70-80mph. Possibly your message center needs recalibrating. Try taking your mileage manually to see if you come close to the same reading.

Mike

I am driving a 3.0 automatic with approximately 2500 miles traveled so far. Mileage almost from day 1 has been 24-25mpg highway, 18-19mpg city, and about 21-22mpg combined. Your mileage should be a lot better than what you have gotten so far.

Happy with my X-type but the numbers are in. I'm getting 18-19 mpg on the highway and a little over 12 in the city, without any hard driving. The only thing I'm going to make sure on the next tank is that the ac button is off (dealer recommended leaving it on year round), but other than that, I'd really like to swap notes about mileage. Car runs fine, no leadfoot driving, does this sound reasonable?
