Here's some more info on the X-Type 2.0. Don't know whether they intend to launch in the USA but it's due here in the UK in March 2002.

Incidentally, this pre-launch brochure contains lots of useful info about all models, and not just the 2.0.

When the X-Type was launched, I wondered whether it would become the known as the 'poor man's Jag'. Now the following scenario has crept into my thoughts:

Jim: "I'm thinking of buying an X-Type"
Bob: "You getting a 2-liter or a real one?"
