I'm glad to hear about the snow. Can't wait to see for myself.

Six months and over 3000 miles on mine and no squeaks or anything.

Others do flash, though, because they think the brights are on. (I have the Xenon lights also). I had my wife follow me one night and they are very bright at times, so I realize how they could make that mistake. Should happen less as the lights become more common.
