Steve, I don't have the sport package, but I believe Jaguar recommends the same pressures for the 16" & 17" tires. I found that 33 rear and 35 front make the car respond much better without hurting the ride too much. I found that having the same pressures in the front as the rear, caused my car to plow a little too much. If you try these pressures and find the ride a little too stiff, reduce the pressures, but I would recommend a few more psi in the front.

I'm getting an X-Type 3.0 Sport (17 inch wheels) and am curious as to what owners of that model have found to be the optimum front and rear tire pressures.


Mike, I basically agree with you - I tried using the Jaguar recommended 32F/32R for comfort and the 38F/35R for normal and after a lot of playing around ended up finding that 36F/33R gave the best balance overall for 16" wheels - can't comment on the 17" though.
