Picked up my 2.5 auto this weekend after having waited 3 months for it. And was that wait worthwhile. THe handling is superb and for me the 2.5 litre engine is more than sufficient for me. Silky smooth accelaration and what fun to drive. Man I can't wait to take it out for a quick spin after work tonight.

I found it adequate on a test drive I took (my parent's ordered it). In comparison, the difference between an MB C240 motor (168hp) and the C320, and the Audi A4 1.8T vs their 3.0 is much more dramatic then the X 2.5 versus 3.0. I see some posters saying that Jag is offering the X1 package for "free" on the 3.0 cars, I guess many others are not seeing the price difference for the engine alone as worth it.

My folks are getting the new Quartz color (Titanium is no longer available), we saw it on an S Type and it was very nice. Also getting the in dash CD and X1 package.
