I am able to reach the tab with my fuel filler cap. Is the lead attached to a ring around the fuel filler opening? I don't remember as I'm writing this. Can the ring be turned to give you more slack to the lead?

On mine the small lead from the fuel filler cap is too short to permit hanging of the cap from the small tab on the inside of the filler door and consequently it hangs down against the wing dripping fuel, is this common? I've also now got an annoying rattle from behind the instrument binnacle, a metallic buzzing that appears at certain rev ranges. Otherwise very happy so far (2 wks old, 3000miles)
