Hope the wait is tolerable, but I'm sure you will find it worth the anxiety. The 2.5 is a lot of car for the money and will drive the same as a loaded version. I fell in love with the X-Type after a test drive and bought a 3.0 5 speed in Platinum. It was on the showroom floor and begged me to take it home. I've had it for two weeks now and have become more excited each time I drive it. Hope your experience is as rewarding.

Mike

Finally made up my mind and bought a 2.5 in Phoenix Red with the automatic and no other options.

I never really liked sunroofs; and all the other gadgets in the X1 premium package just seemed dumb to me. I mean, I kind of ALREADY KNOW when to turn on the headlights and windshield wipers.

I also don't like how the backup sensor panel destroys the clean look of the standard rear bumper.

So there it is, a base el-cheapo model but it has everything I want or need except for an in-dash CD player.

Let's keep our eyes open for when the factory in-dash CD's show up and I'll bet some internet wanker will have them available for swap out.

I won't get mine for a few days yet so I'm still like a kid waiting for Santa.

If I own an English car do I have to start talking funny? Like saying "shedule" and "cheerio old chap" and stuff?
