I know that most people do not buy Jags because of their reliability ratings... But is the X-type's predicited reliability going to keep pace with BMW 3 and 5 series and the Audi A4?
Any views / comments? I think I have you beat, My xtype 3.0 has been getting the engine repalced for 12 out of the 17 days we've had it, a few more and it is lemon law time.
my jag has been in the shop 18 of the 50 days since i took delivery. they cannot locate the source of the problem ... my sunroof continuously breaks down (timing, not closong flush, operating off only one of the two button ... ) the service advisor said i was using the sunroof more than other people [and that was why i was having problems!?]
momentum jaguar service has replaced the component twice and claims to have found no wiring problem. this does little to instill confidence in the service and/or manufacturing.
weren't electrical problems the source of many jokes back in the 80s?
