I have MB and they also have fiber optic loop for the CD player and yes they also try to rape you for 1,000 at the stealership. I found that if you buy the CD changer in another country they are cheaper. For example the MB CD changer by itself is $699 at the dealer and $275 from a German dealer. You may want to check out Gaston at autoclass.net. He imports the MB CD changer from europe where he gets it cheaper and resells it here for $375. He may be able to do the same for the baby Jag. You don't want to mess with RF CD changers as they won't sound as good as factory one, you'll lose a radio preset and lose steering wheel controls (if the Jag has them).
