Thank Craig. I am glad to see that Jag is not alone on this one. It still seems like a lot of miles, particularly since we have been so conditioned to changes every 3K miles.
I don't know about Jaguar, but BMW's oil change interval is between 12K and 15K miles. My '01 M3 has a computer that factors in driving speeds, number of cold starts, etc., and counts down the mileage to next oil change. I'm at 5.6K and I have 8.3K until I need it changed. Of course, BMW pays for the oil changes during the first 36K miles, so I had them change my oil at my expense at the 1.2K service.

Nonetheless, with the better, synthetic oils available now, the oil change intervals are being prolonged.
