There are no other differences. I have a 2.5 with the auto, which is fine. The 3.0 is nice and is demonstrably quicker, but 6K is a lot of change for half a liter and about 40 bhp.

I have a friend who has decided to get an X-type. He's planning to get the 2.5 because he doesn't think the 3.0 is worth the extra money. He is getting the manual tranny either way. The 3.0 is about $6k more than the 2.5. Are thre any other differences besides the engine that account for this price differential? Any opinions?

Thanks in advance.

Craig
