engine shutdown problems (archive)

has anyone experienced an full engine shutdown while driving? this has happened to me a few times, regardless of speed. the "fail sfa eengine shutdown" message appears and the entire engine shuts down. i have to glide to a stop, restart, and be very careful. seems like a dangerous situation. i'm looking for a pattern here.
