That's a good question. If, in a few years, a person can buy a used x-type for, say, $25k, or is happy to buy the same car without a moonroof for $22k, then I've done ok by not getting a $2.5k option that I don't really need. If I can only get $20k, then it was a mistake. I realize the x-1 premium option has other goodies, but basically I'm paying $2.5k plus tax for a roof I don't want. Now what?
