Jaguar is doing the same thing with the sports package on the 3.0 that it does with the supercharged XJR. That is, it puts the car through a sort of toning down of the exterior so it isn't so bright and glittery.

What parts do you want to be chrome? Are you interested in the insets in the bumpers, or mainly the front grill? The good news is that the front grill on X-Types appears to be fairly easily swapped out, so if you get an SP, perhaps you could find an owner with a non-SP of the same color as your car who wants to swap his chrome grill for your body-colored grill.
