I All, I had my trip down from Hamburg to Zurich over the weekend. Went smooth as you can expect. I was really surprised to find that the top speed was limited electronically. 235 km/h was with only 5000 rpm. The beemers and mercs was all gone behind me. On the German autobahn I did not manage to keep these speeds all the way but awerage (when permitting) was approx 190. At this speed the car handles beautiful. The 3.0 automatic was handling as I could ever expect. I had previously spoken to a guy trading in he's XK8 into the same model I have 3.0 Exc with auto and the 17' wheels found on the SPORT version. He said that the x-type was the best ever Jag he'd drivven and the XK8 was he's sixth Jag. I have now 2800 km on mine and this in a lot of different driving conditions. I am still thrilled.
