Base for the 2.5 is announced as 29,950. That's with a stick--the auto will be optional. No word on options, but expect the Jag generally to have better std. equipment than a BMW 3 series.

Price for the 3.0 was not included, though the auto will be std. on the 3.0 with the stick as a no cost option. My guess? 4-5K more than the 2.5, which probably means 35,950 for the 3.0. Again, options have not been announced, but the S-type has a $1000 "weather" package, a $1000 sport package, and a $3600 communications package. I bet the X-type is similar. My guess is that moonroof and leather will be std. on both models.
