The Big Question: 5 speed in US market? (m) (archive)

The answer to this question will determine whether I consider the X-type or not. There aren't alot of answers to be found on the web, as far as I can tell. However, the fact that the only interior pic that has been released shows a 5-speed is a good sign, especially since all of the exterior shots seem to be of non-EU models (note the amber reflectors in the bumper and the presence of the 'leaper,' which does not meet EU pedestrian crash protection standards).
