I've owned a 2001 M5 and I drove a R about a month ago...The Jag wins in looks ,but that's it. The fluid power of the Bimmer's V8 is unsurpassed. I just sold my XJR and even that power plant felt rough compared to the Bimmer's

Hi Kimi-

Having owned 5 new BMWs, and most recently an M3, I'd definitely go for the Jag "R" -- the Beemers are everywhere now....so "common" that I prefer the sexy looks of the Jag. And, with the new "R" posing such a threat to the infamous M5, I'd go for the car with the most power, performance, AND good looks: the Jag.

Best of luck!

Hi guys!

I 'd like to ask,if anybody has received the new "R" yet?

Is the transmission-soft-ware developed from the earlier version?

So, does the transmission allow higher revs before changing up now, than in the demonstration-version in the winter?

A Jag or Bmw?

Best wishes from Kimi!

I don't want to shift gears.
