My wife and I would love to get a new S-Type. We talked to a local dealer and got a lease quote for a 2002 with the sport package of $2,200.00 down with a monthly payment of $570.00 tax included. This is the dealer's lease package. Does anyone think this is a decent deal or should I wait for Jaguar to come out with a lease deal? Also, should I wait for the 2003 models to come out and get one of these?
Thank you.

There is a big difference in lease prices between the 2002 and 2003. I just leased a 2002 S-Type 4.0 Sport, with Nav, Weather, Voice, No Phone, Upgraded Wheels & Tires (Monaco Wheels), MSRP final was around $60,000. Total out of pocket was around $3500, monthly $808.00 including tax of 6.5%, I think that's pretty good.

If you were talking a bare bones 3.0, then I don't know if its a good deal. But I can tell you that you can get some awesome deals on the 2002s right now.

Ya, having the 2003 would be nice, but it would have added another $120.00 a month. (Plus, the dealership is not going to deal on a 2003, but they will on the 2002s)

I'm happy.
