s-type trannsmission problems (archive)

Has anyone had any transmission related issues?
IE - Being able to move the shift lever without depressing the brake pedal, the car shifting into different gears than selected, or just lurching into gear when placed in park? My wife is having huge trannt issues - so bad she feels that the car is trying to kill her... and the district manager from jag just shrugs it off. Any similar issues?
