Am I the only one in here who is dissapointed with the interior of the 2003 Jaguar S-Type. The car's interior is almost identical to the X-type which to me is a slap in the face because I would expect more than that for the price difference.

One should pay more attention to the materials used and the details. The new S-type, X-type and even XJ look very similar from a distance or in a picture but if you look more closely, you'll notice that the S-type uses better materials than the X-type, leather instead of plastic, and although the overall look is very similar, the two hardly share any parts as the shapes are curves are different.

One of the reason why American cars don't sell in Europe are the materials that are too cheap. For example Corvette is a good value for money from performance point of view but the materials aren't good enough for even such an "inexpensive" car. One of the nice things to do is to go into an exclusive store and touch the products from e.g. Dolce & Gabbana or Prada, they feel just so unbelievably good.
