With all the upgrades you want, there won't be much difference except the 3.8 engine is a little sportier feeling. My advice is focus on condition and buy a car from 61 to 67 with all the goodies you want. Make sure that if you've got go-faster parts and want to go fast, you've got modern brakes. The originals are pretty weak for today's conditions.
