| Message: | Hello! I am new to the Forum and the (at the moment) not-so-proud owner of a 1969 Jaguar XKE 4.2 2+2. The body is beautiful but the engine came in a box. I am having great difficulty finding parts. I've ordered the shop manual, but am finding as I piece my motor together that I am missing many parts, for ex, motor mounts, trans plate, valve cover, etc. The pictures that I need to try and view what's missing are not in my shop manual. I've searched high and low for someone who will work with me in finding a good source for the parts. So far, no luck. I've tried various places on the Web, i.e. jaguarsouth.com and others. Nothing. Does anyone out there have a reliable source for some of these hard-to-find parts?? (I have no part numbers...I am a shade tree mechanic trying to rebuild this motor in my garage!!)
