| Message: | When my 97 had a failed ABS module, the only instrument in my car that worked was the tachometer. The speedometer and odometer didn't work at all. I don't know if this will make any difference, but it sounds like you did all this without disconnecting your battery, which means you have the possibility of having introduced a power spike onto the various components that you disconnected, cleaned, and re-connected. Might as well try disconnecting your battery for about 5 minutes, then reconnecting and see what happens. Chances are your ABS codes will go away until you drive the car for a few times, then they'll come back if the ABS system is truly broken. Note that the Open Trunk button doesn't work unless the door is open or the car is turned off, so ensure you were in one of those situations before getting too worried. I don't have a clue why your top stopped working, but it sounds like major issues are involved. | ||||
