| Message: | Peter, you've touched on an interesting topic-- insurance. For what it's worth, here is my take; no recommendation for others. Just mine. My first auto was financed. The note holder required insurance to cover HIM. After I paid off the car, I canceled the insurance. I've NEVER insured a vehicle since. I carry insurance to protect others, but not my own car. I pay cash; thus not a question. Money way ahead. If I bend it, I pay the tab. Simple. Extended warranty? Similarly regarded- NO! | ||||
