Some of us grew up on American muscle cars, although Bill cut his teeth on sports cars, and this may get me in trouble, but our cars are a bit like muscle cars in many ways - big torquey V8s and somewhat short in the handling department (although not that bad in reality). I'm not convinced that a Ferrari 456 GT would out handle a well-prepared XKR by much and that is really the Ferrari that our cars should be compared with.
Finally, if I could figure out again how to post some pictures, I have some of an XK8 dragster that are quite amusing - so there are XK dragsters!!!
