| Message: | Hi everyone - am new to the forum and Jaguars, absolutely love my 1999 XK8. This week, the car began reving at very high RPMs at startup, then switched to safety mode. Also lurches randomly when driving, so fuel line issue highly suspect. Independent British motors shop ran diagnostics and says throttle position sensor is failing. All makes sense. My questions: 1. has this happened to you? 2. is it risky to replace with used parts (v. new and more expensive)? 3. what range should I expect to pay for the repair Thank you in advance for your advice, Stephanie | ||||
