the first thing i would do is have this car put on a hoist so you can inspect to see if there is any rust in other areas. these vechicles should always be kept in a garage when not being used. check all jacking points and under floor areas for rust . if no rust count yourself very lucky. as a precaution i would spray fish oil into sills and boot areas to combat any unseen rust. your next step would be to remove all spark plugs and squirt redex into each cylinder. next pull lead out of coil and crank over motor a few times to circulate redex through cylinders, this should lubricate valves and cylinder bores at start up. next replace leads and spark plugs with new ones. change engine oil and oil filter and also air filter elements. automatic transmission should be serviced and differential oil changed. brake fluid should also be changed . radiator should be flushed and the right coolant added. make sure you bleed coolant system to remove any trapped air pockets . if left to sit idle for two years it is quite possible for engine oil seals to harden up and cause oil leaks that also applies to brake seals. as regards door handles rusting , to remove them you have to remove door glass to replace them . .
