| Message: | during a day trip i got an error message while driving, "check gas cap". after i parked i checked it made sure it was on and left it at that. well im not sure if i didnt notice or maybe the rubber seal leaked some more but the engine light came on. performance was fine no indications that something may have been wrong. So cash is tight right now with gas prices going psycho so i dint want to take The Jag to the dealer for an expensive checkup and pat on the butt. so i went through some posts and decided to take some friendly advice posted here and run over to autozone and ask them to pull the codes...ended up with a P1111 and P0456 not sure exactly what the P1111 is, but i think it is a variance in the ambient air intake temp - it was 112 that day the light came on.... P0456 in a leak in the evap system pertaining to the gas cap. cleared the codes and im on my way free of panic - for now..... | ||||
