| Message: | Hi Tim, With that many miles I would think twice about building your engine. Besides the labor to remove engine, disassemble, take to machine shop, reassemble and add any performance, you have to add up the parts. The gaskets for this engine will run approx. $650.00, thermostat $55.00, aftermarket pistons $700, bearings $200, aftermarket rings $250, machine work for block $500 to $1500. You should also replace all of the timing chains and tensioners, both primary and secondary. Dealer price ? Then after the shortblock is done, you still have the cyl. heads that have 170K on them, 32V valve job $?. Then you also have to add sparkplugs, coolant, oil & filter, any hoses, etc. I would recommend finding a low mileage engine and the adding performance to that. Eurotoys could do the work, but I do not have a service center at this time, only the know-how and my own garage. That is why I have not advertised service work, only internet sales. Maybe this year I can have my own service center. Mike Werner Eurotoys Ltd. | ||||
