I understand that a wrty company needs to be profitable, and if they charge $3000 for a policy it's because they expect to pay perhaps $2000 on average. That's business.
However, we as enthusiasts are not average. I'm persoanlly way beyond average with my car, and I'm going to request service that the average Joe would never even know the car would need. For example I got new suspension bushings and new struts and new wheel bearings under extended warranty ... even though the car rode "just fine" to my wife and others who rode in it.
In other words a guy like me gets a lot more value out of a warranty than the average guy.
