| Message: | Hehehehehe....I'm kind of glad to see there is another person on the planet that cringes when they hear "Beemer". Old-timers always referred to them as "Bimmers". It seems that the change-over coincided with them becoming way more popular. I can recall when it was rather rare to see a 1600 or 2002 (model name, not year!) on the road. Now it seems everyone and their Brother has or wants one. Unfortunately, even the sale people at the BMW dealership now say "Beemer" and look at me funny when I say "Bimmer". I have to deal with them concerning my MINI Cooper. But when I walking into the BMW motorcycle dealership, they still say "Bimmer". As far as the question as to would I buy another X.....absolutely! Prior Saabs, BMWs, and Volvos I've owned were no better (and sometimes worse) maintenance-wise. | ||||
