| Message: | Earlier Real Tech had stated: "Jaguar is starting to balk at the changing of the diff itself and it won't be long before they deny replacement of the diff for the whining noise" Looks like that time is now. I took my 2004 X-Type 2.5L Manual to the dealer this morning for the whine when cruising at 70 MPH. The mechanic recognized the whine and immediately said that it was a normal condition (vehicle harmonics, AWD) with no known fixes. They had already replaced the prop shaft, which fixed the vibration, so I mentioned the differential. But, they would not even consider the differential as a problem. Anyone have tips on how to convince the dealer to try wieghting/replacing the diff? | ||||
