This is the quietest car I have ever been in, the ride is not punishing at all but with the air suspension it is not soft either. I suggest you test drive one and see how it ifeels, you will feel bumps and potholes because the suspension is tuned to give lots of feedback. This car cruises like a dream and is very nimble in getting around in because it is so responsive. The big plus for this car in the area of the country I live is the aluminum body and suspension parts that will not rust! For what it worth I have a set of 18" rims with 235/50/18 tires that are the winter set; I do not what to ruin the 19" double spoke chome rims it came with. 19" low profile rims are very susceptible to getting bent by bad roads and potholes; I know I had to have all four reworked.
