2004 XJR vs. Older XJR Ride Quality (93 views) (353 thread views) 
Message: I test drove a pre-2004 XJR and found the ride to be Bimmer-firm & harsh. Too bad - cuz I really liked the instant rush or torque & lightening acceleration. So- I was wondering: how does the newly-revamped X350 "R" compare with the old "R"? Since it's made of lighter aluminum I expect it to crash the potholes more gently and presumably rides softer. However, some reviews I've read say it's noiser than the old "R" becuase the lighter frame makes it rattle more over uneven pavement. Comments from actual owners?
