I heard it's the transmission. It can't handle anymore torque for the long run, which is why the curve is so flat. The engine managment is holding it down. The 5.0 R engines are said to flash 600hp for a split second before it's pushed back down.

So either a strenthened ZF6 or wait until the new 8 Speed
