Re: Anyone experience harsh 1st to 2nd shifts? '05 (185 views)
Message: Tom,
I recently developed a leak at the wiring harness connector sleeve on my transmission. Again, another common problem on the rolls royce that I have seen multiple times. They even have updated parts for the leak. I had all the necessary parts in stock and replaced the sleeve this weekend. It requires draining the fluid, removing the trans pan. from there the process is really easy. I put in fresh fluid afterwards and my 1-2 shifting problem seems to be completely gone. Might be worth it to have the same done on yours. The sleeve and pan gasket are cheap but the fluid is not. I dunno what it costs at the jag dealer but it was $20 a litre my cost, you will loose about 5-6 quarts. Might be worth it for you.

Justin
