Message: I've seen quite a few late model Jags in service going strong at 175k with stock engine and trans. looking good and going strong.

Mercedes shared transmissions with older XJ's and BMW shares a trans with the new Jaguars. Thats about as good as it gets. The only cheaply made parts might be plastic buttons instead of metal.
